Abstract
AbstractAuthentication is the process of confirming one’s identity. There is a steadily growing need to protect confidential, especially financial, data, as banks provide their services online through their ubiquitous systems. This paper presents a novel authentication method based on the analysis of body composition. A trusted system that relies on the biometric authentication has been designed, implemented, and evaluated, showing a false accept rate (FAR) of 0%, while its false reject rate (FRR) is 2.65%. As the proposed solution requires virtually no special action from the user during the authentication process, it can be seen as suitable for incorporation into existing multifactor authentication solutions.
