Abstract

AbstractTetra-octyl diglycolic amide (TODGA) is an emerging novel solvent for flowsheet demonstrations of novel nuclear extraction processes used in nuclear fuel cycle and associated waste management activities. Mutual solubilities of extractant and water are important process parameters for modeling the mass transfer as these are vital for phase volume change calculations. Experimental results for aqueous solubility of TODGA were reported based on SCWO assisted persulphate based TOC measurements. Experimental results for solubility of water in the binary solutions of TODGA and n-dodecane were reported based on KF titration. Reported values were correlated by empirical equations.
