Abstract
AbstractAt present, China has entered the stage of rapid aging development, and the aging trend is becoming more and more serious. High-quality life has become an urgent concern of the society. Creating a high-quality life is the need to cope with the aging strategy and realize the high-quality development strategy. It is also the development trend of the elderly to pursue a high-quality life. This paper focuses on exploring the impact of inherent ability on the high quality of life using the psychological value participation of the elderly as the intermediary effect. Using logistic regression models to exam the relationship between the three independent variables, physical health and mental health and quality of life of the elderly, tests the robustness, and discusses the heterogeneity between gender and age to the conclusion of this paper. The results found that value participation and inherent ability have significant effects on high quality life, but on gender, age, household type and value participation, and the combination of individual social-economic factors and the environmental social support. This study enriches and expands the theoretical discourse of the inherent ability and high-quality life research of the Chinese elderly, and also provides the localization direction for the policy intervention of the high-quality life of the elderly based on the value, and is of great significance to build and improve the high-quality life in China’s aging society.
