Abstract
AbstractThis paper presents a discussion on the influence of the tip relief on the tip interference and contact ratio, as well as a methodology to select proper values of the teeth heights, center distances, rack shift coefficients, and tip reliefs to ensure maximum values of the contact ratio while avoiding tip interference, root interference and pitch interference. The influence of the quasi-static transmission error on the tip interference is also considered in the analysis.
