4. The electron does have an anomalous magnetic moment which atq 2=0 isμ(0)=e 2/2π. However, at large momentum transfers this does not contribute to the cross-section since here the moment varies asμ(q 2)=(e 2/2π)(m 2/q 2) log (q 2/m 2),e.g. S. D. Drell andF. Zachariasen:Phys.
