This article is based on a review of the literature as well as the extensive experience of the authors. Focusing on the phenomena of acquaintance molesters who seek out victims through paid or volunteer work with organizations, they address the problem of such offenders, by identifying the most common “misconceptions.” They in addition provide examples of protective practices.
