. These two articles appeared in the same 2014 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine. They described failures of massive drug trials using two different experimental drugs for the treatment of dementia. There have been other failures, both before and after, but these two high-profile trials provoked considerable discussion and re-assessment of current research into cure and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.
