Abstract
AbstractEscher's depiction of transparency, refraction, and reflection overlaps geometric coding of chiaroscuro from the first half of the twentieth century and anticipates several eidomatic effects. After studying some digital rendering processes, we propose a method similar to Escher's and apply it to a drawing of Mies van der Rohe's Glashochhaus.
