This number is a preliminary one and may be somewhat modified in the final manuscript being prepared by the ANL group for submission to Phys. Rev. Letters. The actual Argonne measured two bin cross section is (13.4 ± 6.7) x 10 41cm2 for events with Ev 1.5 GeV and Ik21 0.5 (GeV)2. I have estimated the effect of the cuts by assuming the k2 dependence of the neutral current cross section to be the same as that of the charged current cross section in the reaction vp → p-pπ+.

4. This assumption is the same one used to get definite y-distribution predictions in the Weinberg-Salam model case. See B. C. Barish’s talk at this Conference and L. M. Sehgal, Nucl. Phys. B65, 141 (1973).
