The guideline outlines the updated definition of stage 2 hypertension in children and adolescents, the initial evaluation and management of stage 2 hypertension, the use of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, an updated defintion of left ventricular hypertrophy on echocardiography, participation in competitive sports, and treatment of acute severe hypertension discussed in this review.
