Transplant Proc. 2009;41:188–91. Dietary fructose recently has been recognized as having important effects on SU. This is the only study examining the effects of oral fructose on patients with kidney transplants. It clearly documents a rise in SU with an oral fructose load, with no difference between patients on tacrolimus or cyclosporine.
