Abstract
AbstractIn this chapter, the criticisms advanced to empathy by Jesse Prinz are taken into account and carefully analysed. In particular the author attempts to trace the structure Prinz gave to his criticisms by dividing them into three: those concerning moral judgement, those concerning moral development, and those concerning moral motivation and conduct. This structure will be of fundamental importance to the work, because it is by tracing this structure that the author will respond to the criticism of empathy and simultaneously present his theories.
