Abstract
AbstractThis chapter aims to justify the importance of the subject of the book and to frame it in a broad structural perspective that leads to a transdisciplinary understanding of measurement of physical and of psychosocial properties, exemplified by the measurement of temperature and of reading comprehension ability respectively. As a first sketch of the feasibility of this integrated framework, a typical method of psychosocial measurement is applied to a case of physical measurement.
