Abstract

AbstractHaving discussed the regulatory objectives and functions of international environmental liability (Chap. 2) and the international obligations of private and public actors alike to prevent and redress environmental harm (Chaps. 3 and 4), this and the next chapter’s point of departure is the complementary perspective of domestic law and international law on corporations’ civil liability for transnational environmental damage.
