Describing Qatar

Abstract

AbstractThis chapter describes the state of Qatar in terms of different geographical and demographic characteristics. This was done because the authors believe that an in-depth understanding of nation branding and soft power in Qatar would be possible when a good understanding of different political, geographical, and demographic issues related to the country is obtained. Moreover, this chapter describes the key pillars of Qatar Vision 2030 as the government’s major plan for country development in different domains such as economy and humanitarian issues.
