Abstract
AbstractIn many ways, the year 1953 represented a year of consolidation for the radio astronomers at RPL under the leadership of Pawsey and Bowen. The solar research program was flourishing (see Chap. 25). Bolton, Stanley and Slee completed their survey of discrete sources at Dover Heights, by now finding 104 such sources. Mills was now developing new instruments to investigate these sources further.
