Abstract
AbstractThis paper aims to provide clarity on the emerging role of Product Operations (Product Ops) in software-developing organizations. As organizations increasingly acknowledge the benefits of having a dedicated Product Ops function, inconsistencies and uncertainties surrounding the role’s responsibilities persist. By analyzing job advertisements for Product Ops positions, this study identifies and categorizes the expected skills and responsibilities, subsequently ranking them by frequency. The results offer a clearer understanding of the Product Ops role based on industry expectations expressed in the job postings.
