Abstract

AbstractTwo centrifuge tests are performed at NCU under centrifugal acceleration field of 26g and 13g to validate the generalized scaling law for LEAP-ASIA-2019. The model arrangement and test process follow the specification of LEAP-UCD-2017. Both models are subjected one destructive motion which is 0.18g, 1 Hz, 16 cycles, tapered sine wave. Test results indicate the model adopted generalized scaling law with virtual 1g modeling factor of 2 can generally simulated the same prototype of the model only adopted centrifuge scaling law. The acceleration response, pore water pressure behavior, and cone tip resistance of both models are in good agreement with each other.
