Abstract
AbstractThis book, the outcome of reflections, journeys and new constellations of landscape reformulated across different geo-cultural environments, is a pursuit to account for that which may be fleeting, but which has presence, substance and influence—and, more importantly, which carries interventionist potential. The chapter sets out the critical mapping of the book, presenting the case studies’ points of contact, and threading in the book’s overarching theoretical and analytical methods. Specifically, the section discusses the rationale and approach of Chapter 3, “The Room: Intimate Microcosms and World Formation”; Chapter 4, “The Transient: Palindromic Nomadisms and Invisible Transports”; Chapter 5, “The Limbo: Liminal Loci and Timeless Travels”; Chapter 6, “The Deviant: Unruly Spaces and Errant Experiences”; and Chapter 7, “The Virtual: Hybrid Environments and Deepfake Realities”.
