Abstract

The Rapid growth of the health industry has brought about numerous reforms in the eld of medical science. Newer diagnostic modalities and advanced treatment régimes has brought about a massive reduction in morbidity and mortality bring about a signicant change in quality of life and life expectancy. The advances are brought about my rening the existing methods or researching the development of newer modalities. Radiographic investigations and interventions in fetal medicine have advanced signicantly in the last decade and has given birth to the concept of fetal medicine and the obstetrician now focus on fetal well-being by use of radiographic techniques and blood investigations to access the fetal growth, early detection of avoidable complications and timely interventions to archive a positive outcome in high-risk cases of pregnancy
