Abstract
Complaints of dizziness or vertigo entirely are common in patients with migraines, at least occasionally.
Vestibular migraine was recently integrated as an independent article in the International Classication
of Headache Disorders 3-beta appendix. Despite this, it is still an underdiagnosed condition. The exact mechanism of vestibular
migraine is still unclear. This review presents an overview of the history, epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical characteristics,
diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis and the treatment of VM.
