Abstract
Frequent use of Insecticides including Carbamates, Organophosphate and Pyrethroids in agriculture increased the environmental toxicity. The use
of such chemicals is very common now a days. The proper management, storage and use can help in such toxicity prevention up to some extent.
This review article put forwards a detailed discussion on phytoremediation, where it emphasised the importance of phytoremediation of pesticide
contaminated soil. The scope of this article covers the basics of carbamate pesticides (Carbofuran), Sources of contamination, ecosystems that are
being affected and the rhizosphere as the active site of remediation (importance of plantation to help get rid of toxicity). The recent advantages in
the similar eld are taken into consideration by reviewing some important research works done in past.
