Abstract
Thyroid Surgery is commonly performed by the general surgeons throughout the world. It is indicated as elective treatment for thyroid neoplasm.
During surgery injury to RLN is common complication. Damage to the RLN has been reported as most common iatrogenic complications
associated with surgeries of the thyroid gland. Injury to the RLN is most frequent and important cause of morbidity in thyroidectomies. Today most
of the complications of thyroid surgery are related to either metabolic derangement or injury to recurrent laryngeal nerve. Other complications
include hypoparathyroidism, hematoma, seroma, infection at surgical site, superior laryngeal nerve palsy. Hence before any thyroid surgery patient
must be precisely informed the possible complications and their remedies. The present study aims to evaluate intra operative and post operative
