Abstract
A 57-year-old woman, presents to the ED with sudden onset vomiting
containing frank blood since 2 hours. The patient vomited almost 1liter
of blood mixed with clots in the ED over a span of 15mins.The patient
was having her lunch just prior to the event. She reports feeling
nauseous and then throwing up. She also reports the initial episode of
vomiting containing food particles mixed with blood. Her review of
systems is otherwise negative.
