Abstract

In Brief Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with diabetes. Consequently, proper screening and diagnosis of CAD is crucial for the prevention and early treatment of coronary events. This review explains the variety of diagnostic exams available for the identification of CAD in patients with diabetes and will assist health care providers in determining the appropriate diagnostic tool for each patient.
