Abstract
1. The glucose concentration in whole blood may be calculated with reasonable accuracy from the plasma sugar level and the hematocrit by the following formula: WBS = PS (1-0.30 hct.).
2. Anemia must be recognized as a factor contributing to an apparent decreased glucose tolerance seen in chronic diseases.
