Abstract
On July 8, 2020 the European Commission has adopted a new hydrogen strategy. On the same day, the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance was established. It was formed in the same way as of the European Battery Alliance and received the status of an Important Project of Common European Interest. The article analyzes the goals, objectives, structure, and prospects for the new structure, and examines the opportunities for Russian companies to participate in it. The author comes to the conclusion that in the conditions of transition from the EU countries to a climate-neutral economy, Brussels relies on the development and large-scale state support of strategic ecosystems. First of all, this applies to the hydrogen sphere. With the help of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, it should ensure that the strategic goals of the European green deal are met
