Abstract

Abstract A procedure for evaluating the creep deflection of members subjected to bending moment is suggested. The application of the suggested procedure to beam-columns is given. For checking the validity of the proposed method, an investigation on the creep behavior of beam-columns of magnesium alloy FS1-F at 260 F was conducted. The comparison of the experimental results with the theoretical predictions was found satisfactory.
