Abstract
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex and debilitating autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (CNS), affecting millions of individuals worldwide. Despite significant advances in the understanding of its pathogenesis, an effective cure for MS remains elusive. Current treatments are often associated with adverse side effects and limited long-term efficacy. Therefore, there is a growing need for novel therapeutic strategies that can offer both neuroprotection and remyelination. Herbal medicine has emerged as a promising avenue in this regard, with various natural extracts showing potential in preclinical MS models. Among these, Albizia lebbeck bark extract has garnered attention due to its reputed anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. In this research study, we explore the preclinical evaluation of Albizia lebbeck bark extract in cuprizone-induced MS, aiming to shed light on its therapeutic potential and possible mechanisms of action.
