Abstract
An asymptomatic saccular ascending aortic aneurysm was diagnosed during workup for renal transplantation in a 39-year-old man. At operation, the aneurysm was noted to arise from within a localized and healed dissection, and was managed by ascending aortic replacement and sinotubular junction refashioning.
