Abstract
Following a brief summary of the published methods for the measurement of static electricity on textiles, the effect of test variables is explored. The relations between charge, resistivity, and the concentration of the antistatic finish are investigated, and it is demonstrated that on a given fabric the logarithm of the charge is a linear function of the logarithm of the surface resistivity, independent of the finish which produces the electrical conductivity.
