Abstract
There is a trade-off between the density of hair growth and the size of graft that must be considered when graft types are being chosen for hair transplanting. The author uses smaller grafts, such as micrographs, for the production of low density hair and at the other extreme (in properly selected patients) a combination of micrografts, minigrafts, and standard size grafts when the objective is greater density. The reasons for his choice of graft and density objectives are discussed.
