Abstract
A story told at a recent executive seminar: There were three men on death row-a Frenchman, a Japanese, and an American. The night before their execution, the prison warden came to them and said, "I will grant you each one last wish before tomorrow." The Frenchman said, "If you will play the national anthem for me one last time, I can die in peace." The Japanese said, "I would like one last chance to talk about Japanese management." The American said, "Why don't you execute me right now? If I have to listen to one more talk on Japanese management philosophy, I'm going to die anyway."
