Abstract
Self-disclosure reciprocity was investigated in third -and sixth-grade boys and girls. Results indicated that preadolescents hearing intimate disclosure input spent more time disclosing intimately than did preadolescents hearing nonintimate disclosure input. Girls spent significantly more time than boys in intimate disclosure and total disclosure at both grade levels.
