Abstract

Three minor flavonoids were isolated from the corollas and leaves of Aeschynanthus species and cultivars using MeOH, and identified as scutellarein 7- O-(6″-methylglucuronopyranoside) (1), 6-hydroxyluteolin 7- O-(6″-methylglucuronopyranoside) (2) and nepetin 4′- O-glucuronopyranoside (3) by UV and 1H NMR spectroscopy, LC–MS, and acid hydrolysis. These flavone glycosides are reported in nature for the first time.
