Abstract

The growth promoting effects of thy roid gland may be observed in congeni tal thyrotoxicosis. The presence of ex cessive thyroid hormones appears to accelerate fetal development. Rapid skeletal growth in the infant here described was striking and continued after a euthyroid state was established.
