In recent years, sexual delinquency has received increased public and academic interest. With regard to sexual offences against children and adolescents, the main focus has been on sexual violence inflicted on minors by adults. So far there have been few reliable findings on sexual assaults on minors inflicted by someone of the same age. This meta-analysis addresses this problem and examines the question of which international empirical findings on the prevalence of sexual violence among peers are available. Further, the study examines which factors determine the prevalence and which methodological influences exist on the risks of victimisation. Furthermore, the study focuses on the risk and protective factors involved in experiencing sexual violence inflicted by a person of the same age.
