Abstract
In the article the phenomenon of information activity in the context of the business sphere is analyzed. Information business is characterized as a multifunctional phenomenon. The concept of "information activity" from the stand point of its types and purposes is revealed. Different directions of information activity implementation in business are defined. The concept of information needs is interpreted. A unique algorithm for meeting the information needs of the company and the company is proposed. The information activity of the enterprise is understood as the satisfaction of its information requests for the implementation of its functioning, as well as a means of building internal organizational relationships. Information activities from the stand point of creating an appropriate information product and establishing relationships with various groups of the public, including consumers, are presented. Two groups of the public for business organizations (external and internal) are described. The concept of business information as a component of the business process is presented. Types of business information sources are represented, information resource practices are covered, as well as possible options for meeting information needs. The importance of the concept of creating e-government — e-Government — as an important modern information resource is pointed out. Two levels of information flows in business companies are identified. The media and, inparticular, corporate media are described as a powerful channel for information activities in the direction of communication with consumers. Endogenous and exogenous vectors of satisfaction of information needs of business structures are revealed, the process of realization of information inquiries of the company is presented as dichotomous.
