Abstract

This article explores the theoretical explanatory elements of the resilience of family businesses in the face of crises, focusing on the case of Moroccan family businesses that were severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. This crisis paralyzed the country and quickly turned into an economic and financial crisis, with significant consequences felt across the Kingdom's economy, which slowed down considerably in 2020. Our study then focuses on an empirical contribution where we analyze and discuss the case study results of three Moroccan companies affected by the Covid-19 health crisis. We identify their resilience and evolution strategies, as well as the factors and tools that can help them emerge from this crisis with fewer losses. By highlighting these strategies, we aim to provide practical recommendations to assist other family businesses in overcoming similar crises in the future, enhancing their ability to adapt and thrive despite economic and health challenges.
