Components of the material and technical base of agricultural enterprises and features of its reproduction

Abstract

Introduction. In the context of increasing economic crises, limited financial resources at all levels of agricultural production management and business entities, the absence of a civilized land market, and the influence of other factors, the issue of reproducing the material and technical base of agricultural enterprises becomes more acute. The complete and timely provision of agricultural enterprises with elements of the material and technical base and their efficient use significantly impact the volume of production of major types of products and the economic performance of the business entity. Method (Methodology). The theoretical positions and conclusions characterizing the main trends in the development of reproduction processes of the material and technical base were argued within a systematic approach. This approach includes both general scientific methods (dialectical, intuitive, scientific abstraction, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, laws of logic) and economic research methods (comparative analysis for comparing economic phenomena over different time periods to identify the cause-and-effect relationship between final results and the level of material and capital intensity of production; abstract-logical, calculation-constructive methods for substantiating types of reproduction of the material and technical base; monographic method for summarizing the experience of organizing reproduction processes in individual business entities). Results. The essence of the reproduction of the material and technical base (MTB) of an agricultural enterprise is defined as a process that includes the acquisition of complete property complexes, new construction, reconstruction, renewal, modernization, technical re-equipment of production, and improvement of the use of land resources and working capital based on modern innovative transformations. This contributes to a significant increase in the efficiency of land and material-technical resource utilization, which determines the level of development of agricultural production. The formation of the quantitative and qualitative composition of the MTB of an agricultural enterprise is influenced by natural and climatic factors, its size, and specialization, leading to fluctuations in production costs due to the use of different systems of machinery, equipment, complexes, chemical protective agents, fertilizers, and other elements of agricultural production.
