Abstract
We theoretically discuss and examine spin polarization of the electrons scattered on the surface of a magnetic dilute alloy with a very small amount of 3d magnetic impurities when the incident electron, the energy of which is as low as Fermi level, has exchange interaction with the localized spin existing on the surface. It is found that exchange interaction between the incident electron and localized spin can be regarded as s–d interaction in the case of the energy of the incident electron as low as Fermi level and that scattering polarization asymmetry Λ includes the term of ln T associated with the many-body interaction between incident and d electron by the calculation of second order perturbation. Accordingly it seems possible that the dependence of Λ on the term of ln T, as observed in Kondo effect, may be expected to appear.
