Describing the group of units of integral grouprings ℤD8 and ℤD12

Abstract

Let [Formula: see text] be the dihedral group of order [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we provide a description for the group of units [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]. For both of these dihedral groups, their corresponding torsion free normal complements are also characterized in their respective groups of normalized units.
