Abstract
Some highlights in recent developments of the skyrmion model for baryons are reviewed, with an emphasis on hidden gauge symmetry and vector dominance, features associated with the topological structure, strangeness in the hyperons and in the proton and a hypersphere approach to dense nuclear matter.
