Abstract
Abstract
The Conclusion summarizes the research results outlined in the book regarding the four pathways to flourishing and virtue growth: giving God the benefit of the doubt, accepting God’s love, experiencing transformative awe, and acting in accordance with spiritual excellence. In identifying pathways whereby future studies can expand on this work, it is suggested that future research could explore the specific empirical findings of the book by adding longitudinal and intervention studies. Future research should also attend to the role of religious or spiritual communities in supporting faith practices such as those discussed in the book. Such research should also attend to nontheistic and combined theistic and nontheistic contemplative practices that may promote spiritual excellence.
