Abstract

Abstract This chapter asks Shakespeareans to begin with learning goals that advance diverse student ambitions, and with the question ‘Can I achieve this goal with a more creative use of a digital tool that my students are already using?’ It offers a set of ‘small teaching’ approaches to Shakespeare that draw upon pioneers in Culturally Responsive Teaching but also takes inspiration from the TikTok teens and Kpop Stans who are already changing the world. The eight suggestions included in this chapter work to dismantle the ideas that Shakespeare is unchanging and exclusively white and help our students to develop new, antiracist reading skills.
