Abstract
Studies on the synthesis of a hydrothermally prepared 33% porosity xTiO2•(1-x)SiO2 (x=0.0001-0.04) catalyst with different tetra-N- propylammonium hydroxide/tetraethylorthosilicate molar ratios show that tetra -N-propylammonium hydroxide/tetraethylorthosilicate ratio = 0.5 provides maximum selectivity of butanone-2 formation. The analysis of data on the use of butanone-2 synthesized in the presence of a catalyst containing xTiO2•(1-x)SiO2 (x=0.0001-0.04) with a porosity of 33% obtained by a hydrothermal reaction showed that the porosity of 33% obtained by a hydrothermal reaction Each field of use of butanone-2 synthesized with the presence of a catalyst containing xTiO2•(1-x)SiO2 (x=0.0001-0.04) sets specific requirements for the quality of the commercial product.
