Abstract

With analyzing currently existing gear design system, some shortcomings are found. To overcome the shortcomings a design tree model of spiral bevel gear based on knowledge constraint is proposed. Some useful methods for dealing with complicated data or graph are introduced. Finally, a knowledge base system based on integration case-based reasoning with design tree reasoning is built and proved feasible and efficient by the Self-developed spiral bevel gear design system.
