Abstract

The contour point interpolation, contour tracking, contour connection, and linear iterative curve fitting algorithms were studied by the grid method. Emphasis was on solving the degenerate points and ambiguous contour line connection problems. The results show using these methods can accomplish smooth contour drawing based on discrete data points.
