Abstract

The hereby chapter shows the results of the “Post-agreement and cultural transmission of peace among mothers in Bogota”5 research conducted from 2019 to 2021, wherein from the discourses, the category "family" was born, expressed from their experiences, hierarchies and forms of power, resuming Michael Foucault´s approaches. The research was developed from a qualitative design through focus groups and testimonial narratives. What the mothers expressed, allows the acknowledgement of a hegemonic discourse order, wherein socially established imaginaries prevail regarding the ideal family that lies on cooperation, respect, tolerance and differentiated gender practices, as well as the persistence of traditional structures and organization forms around the role of mothers in relation to their children.
