CLOSED-FORM SOLUTIONS OF DARCY-BRINKMAN FLOW: COMPILATION OF EXISTING AND NEW SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Exact closed-form solutions for the Darcy-Brinkman equation are considered. The assumptions are discussed. The existing solutions can be classified as parallel flow, flow in rotating system, stagnation flow, and transverse flow. Some solutions do not have a clear-fluid counterpart. The stagnation flow on a circular cylinder is introduced. A new class of solutions, which describe the flow in non-circular ducts, is presented.
